Tasks & Responsibilities

    Assisting in research on and development of industrial chemical processes, plants and equipment, or testing prototypes;

    Designing and preparing layouts of chemical plants according to the specifications given;
  • 03
    Preparing detailed estimates of quantities and costs of materials and labour required for manufacture and installation, according to the specifications given;
  • 04
    Monitoring the technical aspect in construction, installation, operation, maintenance and repair of chemical plants to ensure satisfactory performance and compliance with specifications and regulations;
  • 05
    Conducting chemical and physical laboratory tests to assist scientists and engineers in the qualitative and quantitative analysis of solids, liquids and gases;
  • 06
    Applying technical knowledge of chemical engineering principles and practices in order to identify and solve problems arising in the course of work;
  • 07
    Performing related tasks; and
  • 08
    Supervising, scheduling and monitoring the tasks of other workers.
