    Performing the duties associated with the legislation, including the registration, trial, suit, prosecution and administration of the court;

    Preparing and processing legal documents and papers such as deeds, wills, affidavits and briefs;

    Reviewing and proofreading documents and correspondence to ensure compliance with legal procedures;

    Preparing verbatim reports on proceedings in the legislative assemblies, courts of law or other places in shorthand or by other methods;

    Mailing, faxing or arranging for delivery of legal correspondence to clients, witnesses and court officials;

    Organising and maintaining documents, case files and law libraries;

    Screening requests for meetings, scheduling and organising meetings;

    Assisting in the preparation of budgets, monitoring of expenditures, drafting of contracts and purchase or taking orders;

    Assisting the head of unit and other staff with queries of an administrative or organisational nature; and

    Supervising the work of office clerks.
