Dato' Sri Dr. Mohd Uzir Mahidin, Chief Statistician of Malaysia at Dewan Anggerik, DOSM on 19 February 2024.

The purpose of launching these report is to inform the findings of the research and recommendations of strategic plans, initiatives and appropriate action plans that can be used by stakeholders.

1. Provide a basic profile of cases in the Industrial Court of Malaysia
2. Identifying issues related to the management of controlled cases
3. Present appropriate recommendations related to the management of cases handled in the Industrial Court of Malaysia

The Institute of Labour Market Information and Analysis (ILMIA) and the Malaysian Employers' Federation (MEF) collaborated to organize a Country Briefing session on the Eradication of Forced Labor and Fair Recruitment. This session is one of the joint-programme with the International Labor Organization's (ILO) Global Business Network on Forced Labor (GBNFL). The main purpose of this session is to provide employers and ILOGBNFL with the latest information on laws, regulations and policies related to the prevention of forced labor as well as the promotion of fair recruitment practices especially among industries that employ migrant workers.

This Country Briefing session was held at the ILMIA’s Office, Cyberjaya on 18 January 2024.
